Two toddlers drowned in backyard swimming pools in Quebec in separate incidents on the same night.
Police said a three-year-old girl wasn’t wearing a life-jacket when she fell into a pool on Tuesday night in Shawinigan, about 135 kilometres northeast
of Montreal.
The girl’s 17-year-old brother was looking after her at the time, said Chantal Mackels, a provincial police spokesperson.
In Coaticook, about 150 kilometres east of Montreal, a two-year-old boy drowned in a pool.
It wasn’t immediately known if he was wearing a life-jacket or if he was being supervised.
Police were not saying whether charges would be laid in either incident.
They warned parents never to leave their children unattended by water, and to lock all entrances to backyard swimming pools.

my thoughts.
Ok, if you have young children, use your brains, keep a very closeeye on them, and god damn it, keep those back yard pools locked! No matter how safe you think your child is, it doesn’t matter! It’s pure common sense!
Where was the brains of those parents? Not in there heads, that’s for damned sure!
